Spaying and neutering is one of the most important ways we prevent abandonment, animal suffering, and unwanted litters. We organize free or low-cost campaigns for dogs and cats together with local authorities, veterinarians, and other non-profits.
One unspayed female and her kittens can lead, over time, to hundreds of cats without homes.
One unspayed female dog and her puppies can quickly increase the number of abandoned animals.
In our first years there were weeks when we were asked every day to take in dogs and cats, especially puppies and kittens. As sterilizations increased, intake requests decreased, which is why we continue the free and low-cost campaigns.

Many rural areas have limited access to veterinary care. The veterinary ambulance helps us organize campaigns in villages and isolated areas, closer to the people and animals who need help.
Support the ambulance
Since 2021, Cășeiu City Hall has offered free sterilizations for registered dogs, while we help with appointments and transport. Around Dej, we have also worked with local authorities to sterilize stray dogs.
