Lizuca's friends
This is a project destined to the children in our community, we want Dumbrava to be a place where they can come and play, learn, spend their free time with other kids or with the animals that are in our care. It is also a place where they can ask for help.
Crafts
Since we have started Dumbrava, we have been in a construction phase. Together with the children, we have made chairs from tyres, we worked on the playground, we've built and painted tables, dog houses and cat houses, we've made cards that we have sent to the adopters of our dogs and cats, and many other things.

Therapy
During the summer holiday of 2021, we offered the children the option to go to talk to a psychologist. Some children continue to go to therapy weekly. We would love to be able to offer this option to all the children that need to talk to someone.

Learning
Some of the children from the local school, have troubles reading and writing, others have troubles with mathematics, and others just enjoy doing their homeworks with us. During the summer of 2021, together with some volunteers, we helped 9 children improve their ability to read and write, Starting from Octomer 2022, every day of the week, the children that came constantly to Dumbrava during the summer, can come and do homeworks with us, after school.

Most of the children, come at least once a week, to help us feed the animals, walk, socialize and clean the kennels

Some children have a complicated life at home, that is why, the visits at Dumbrava, allow them to relax and play, to feel that they are children.
