# April at Dumbravă 🌿
April was about people, animals, community, and moments that reminded us how much good we can build together. We experienced beautiful events, community activities, important interventions for animals, and many emotional moments that gave us the strength to keep going.
## Senior Gathering & Games Day – a “2 in 1” event ❤️🎲
One of the most beautiful activities of the month was the event that brought together seniors from the community and children for a day full of games, socializing, and good vibes.
We laughed, shared stories, played together, and created special moments between generations. For us, these gatherings mean more than recreational activities — they represent connection, support, and the feeling of belonging to a united community.
## Sterilizations Continue 🐶🐱
During April, we continued our sterilization campaigns, one of the most important projects of our association.
Every sterilization means prevention, fewer abandoned animals, and the chance of a better future for many souls. Thank you to everyone who chooses to act responsibly and support these essential initiatives for the community.
## Therapy Continues 🤝
Therapy and emotional support activities also continued this month, offering space for connection, trust, and healing.
## Rescues, Adoptions & Farewells 🐾
In April, we took in two dogs who urgently needed help. At the same time, we also had happy moments: one dog and two cats were adopted and left for their forever homes. Kai, Tortița, and Lilo started a new chapter filled with love and care, and for us, every adoption remains one of our greatest joys. ❤️
Sadly, in April we had to say goodbye to Paulina. She was loved, cared for, and surrounded by affection until her very last moments. Losses are part of the reality of our work, but every life saved and every soul helped motivates us to keep moving forward. 🌈
## Egg Hunt 🥚🌸
The holidays brought positive energy and many smiles to our egg hunt event. The children enjoyed sweets hidden with love, and the atmosphere was exactly as we hoped: warm, joyful, and full of life.
## Roxy’s First Steps 🐕✨
One of the most emotional stories of the month is Roxy’s story — the little dog who arrived in our care with all four legs broken.
After treatment, recovery, and a lot of patience, Roxy managed to take her first steps. For us, it was an incredibly meaningful moment — proof that hope, care, and perseverance can change destinies. Her recovery continues, but every step is a victory. ❤️
## Thank You for Being With Us 🌿
All of these things were possible thanks to the people who choose to support our association’s work: volunteers, donors, partners, and community members who believe in doing good together.
April reminded us once again that when people come together and get involved, we can change lives — both for animals and for the people around us. 🐾
