Felix
Felix is one of Dumbrava's permanent resident cats.
He came to us in 2025 after the people who had been feeding him on the streets noticed that something wasn't right. At first, they thought he had a back problem, but further examinations revealed the real cause: severe chronic stomatitis, a painful inflammatory disease affecting his mouth.
Since then, Felix has been through countless veterinary visits and treatments. His teeth were removed, the lesions in his mouth were cauterised, and he now receives a monthly treatment that allows him to enjoy a much better quality of life. Even so, he still needs daily care and can only eat wet food.
On his good days, Felix is a quiet cat who loves sleeping next to people—or on the printer while we're working. When he's hungry, however, everyone in the house knows it. He has perfected the art of demanding food with increasingly dramatic meows until his bowl is finally refilled.
Because of his condition, Felix cannot live in our cat house, where dust and dirt would make managing his illness much more difficult. Instead, he lives in a foster home, where he can receive the daily care and treatment he needs.
Felix is not looking for an adoptive home. He will most likely remain a Dumbrava cat for the rest of his life.
